Floating license – check the ports in use

This article describes ports that should be used when requesting a floating license.

Launch LicenseServer.exe and follow the on-screen instructions, install the license server on a server computer of your local network. It is recommended to launch License Server.exe by right-clicking it and selecting “Run as Administrator”. The default port for the license server is 9000. Do not change this default port unless there is a conflict in your system.

Following a successful installation, an administration console can be accessed with the following URL: http://127.0.0.1:9000

The default port for the license pool maintenance is 1700.

You can check the used port with cmd windows: "netstat –b –a | more". The licensing service is called rlm.exe.
