Cortona3D releases RapidAuthor 10

Cortona3D (www.cortona3d.com) rebrands its flagship product RapidAuthor S to RapidAuthor for Teamcenter. Rebranding covers authoring and auxiliary tools included in the “S” branch of Cortona3D product family, which is integrated with Teamcenter. A non-integrated version of RapidAuthor and its components will keep their current names.
RapidAuthor, a 3D visual communication and publishing software, allows customers to transform engineering data into effective and visually-intuitive 3D/2D parts catalogs, job cards, and product maintenance materials. They can be easily accessed by service employees on site or in the field, strengthening service and customer satisfaction.
Cortona3D has been successfully working with Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software business since 2008. The company software is integrated with Siemens’ Teamcenter, the world’s most widely used digital lifecycle management system, which enables companies to manage information throughout the entire lifecycle of a product, from idea creation, design and manufacture, through service and disposal. Thanks to the integration of Cortona3D software with Siemens’ software, changes in engineering and PLM data can be operatively reflected in manufacturing and after-sales support materials. The rebranding emphasizes a strong connection between the RapidAuthor and Teamcenter software.
In addition to rebranding, release 10 also introduces the new functionality:
- New authoring capabilities for S1000D and DITA documents
- 2D authoring: support for axonometric grids
- Integration with Teamcenter Service Planner
- Improved data import
