Improving 3D performance
3D rendering performance depends upon hardware configuration and some software settings. Large 3D scenes require both processing power and adequate graphical capabilities of the computer.
- Check Cortona3D Viewer renderer options:
- In RapidManual (or RapidCatalog, or RapidLearning) go to Tools > Options > 3D View > Renderer and make sure that DirectX is selected. To improve your 3D viewing experience, enable Real-Time Anti-aliasing which requires a powerful graphics card.
- In RapidManual (or RapidCatalog, or RapidLearning) go to Tools > Options > 3D View > Renderer > Advanced and enable Phong lighting model by ticking the box. This option transfers part of the rendering to the graphical processing unit improving both speed and quality (requires a powerful GPU).
